Alpha can give answers to those unanswered questions in your Life
We believe that everyone should have the chance to explore the Christian faith, ask questions and share their point of view. That is what the Alpha course is designed to do.
It’s a series of Video sessions, discussions, and short meetings held at Living Waters Church which started September 11th, 2018. Don’t worry if you missed some sessions. Come along to the next one. We’ll help you with any questions and get you up to speed with the rest of the Group in no time. We start at 6:30 in the evening and aim to finish at 9 pm.

No one can force anyone to believe anything; we’ve found over the years that if we show YOU hospitality and let you be yourself, your life will be transformed.
Many members of our Church have had their lives transformed by God. They can tell you in simple words how finding God made them so much happier with their lives (and much more ❤)
Most Alpha sessions start with some shared food and some general talk. The main part is where we watch a special video that poses some questions and gets us to think on some of the answers (see below). After the video, we talk through some of the issues raised in the video.

😇Do I have to believe in God to come to Alpha?
No! (But you can be if you want 🤗) Whatever you are. Whatever you believe, Alpha is designed to help you move forward from where-ever you ‘are’ to where-ever you want to ‘be’.
🤷♂️Can anyone come?
Yes! All ages. All faiths – including ‘none’.🎈
⌚Do I have to attend all the sessions?
No! It’s best if you do, of course. But missing the odd session is not going to really affect your journey on the course.✨
💷Is it free?
Yup. There is no charge for attending Alpha. 👍
😠Am I going to be lectured by a Vicar?
No! Being a Pentecostal church, we don’t even have a vicar! (We do have Pastors though.) The course is always presented by ordinary people who’s only difference, from you, is that they believe in Jesus. You’ve probably already talked to people like them in the supermarket and never knew 💗💛💙💚💜!

No. But it does help us get ready for you if you let us know that you plan to come.

Lovely to hear from you and I’m delighted that you will be attending our Church 🙏 . If you get to attend in the morning, in the 10:45 session, I’ll get to meet you too! I am usually one of the 2 on our media desk on Sunday mornings but our evening session (6pm) is also just as refreshing for the spirit and the soul.
Our Alpha session completed just before Christmas, I’m afraid. If you’re interested, we can point you in the direction of some helpful material on Alpha and would be delighted to talk to you about it, and your experience. Talk to any of the Pastors (That’s Dave or Sam) or anyone in the greeting team when you come into church.
